In a career spanning more than half a century, veteran singer S Janaki has gifted the music lovers with countless number of beautiful lilting melodies. Fondly called Janaki Amma, the singer is a favourite for almost anybody in the musical know-how. And after a decade, Janaki is making her comeback in the music industry, this time working with the young zealous lot.

Known for his out-of-the-box ideas, composer Anirudh takes the credit for Janaki’s comeback this time, as he has recorded a song for his upcoming project ‘Vellai Illa Pattathari’ (VIP); what is even more special about this song is that it is a duet, and Dhanush has sung the male portions. Janaki was not well for a while, but she agreed to record the song for VIP and was reported to be in good spirit while singing the number.
